Summer in Minnesota

Few things are better than summer in Minnesota. The Lodge at Giants Ridge offers endless on-site activities for their guests in the summertime. While Giants Ridge is known for some of the best golf in Minnesota, we offer activities for every nature lover and outdoor enthusiast.

Water Activities

Leave the memories of traveling far for a lake day behind. When guests stay at Giants Ridge, their lodge is minutes away from the shore of Sabin Lake. In fact, Giants Ridge Recreation Area is home to Sabin, Wynne and the Embarrass Mine lakes. The surrounding Boundary Waters don’t allow motorized watercrafts but Giants Ridge Recreation lakes do. The facility provides fishing boats, canoes and kayaks for guests to rent. If you’re interested in fishing, head to Sabin lake and put your trolling skills to the test. The lake is filled with northern pike, bluegills and more importantly, walleye. If you catch the proper sized walleye, throw a fish fry for your friends and family back at your lodge.

Disc Golf

Giants Ridge offers one of Minnesota’s most challenging and longest disc golf courses. The 80-acre course is located on the mountain and reaches up to 500 feet in elevation. Come prepared to play 18 holes with your friends on this rocky, wooded terrain. The view is breathtaking, so don’t forget a camera! Interested in playing?
