• Where is the Lodge located?

  The Lodge at Giants Ridge is 4 miles north east of Biwabik, Minnesota, in the hub of the Giants Ridge recreation facility.

• Where are the golf courses in relationship to the Lodge?

  The Lodge is located next to The Legend at Giants Ridge golf course. The Quarry at Giants Ridge is located 3 miles away on Giants Ridge Road. Call for tee times: 218-865-8030

• Is there a restaurant onsite?

  Yes. Neighbor’s BBQ Co. is located within the Lodge at Giants Ridge. Hours vary by season. Visit the restaurant’s page on our website for the current hours of operation.

• Are there other local restaurants?
  • The Burnt Onion Kitchen & Brews: located next door in the Giants Ridge Chalet: 218-865-8061.
  • Vi’s Pizza and TNT Bar: dine-in and patio service, along with take out: 218-865-4164
  • Poor Gary’s Pizza: in Biwabik. Dine-in at the pub next door: 218-865-7036
  • Rudy’s Bar & Grill in Aurora: 218-229-3983
  • Megan’s family style restaurant in Aurora: 218-229-3418
  • The Wacootah Grille is located at The Quarry Golf Course: 218-865-8045

• Are there ATV and snowmobile trails nearby?

  Yes,  access is just across Giants Ridge Road from the Lodge.

• Where can I access the Mesabi Trail?

  The trail head is located at the main entrance of Giants Ridge, one block from the Lodge’s front door.

• Are you located on a lake?

  No, but there are several lakes with public launches nearby. The Wynne Lake public boat launch is just 1/4-mile away. The Sabin Lake launch is 1.5 miles away from the Lodge. Embarrass Lake is 3 miles from the Lodge and also has a public boat launch and swimming beach.

• How far are you from Lake Vermillion, Fortune Bay Casino and The Wilderness Golf Course?

  These northern Minnesota destinations are located approximately 30 miles from the Lodge.

• Where can I get groceries and liquor?

  The Lodge gift shop sells some grocery items and a limited selection of wine, beer and liquor. The nearest full-service grocery store is Super One in Biwabik, about 5 miles from the Lodge. The nearest liquor store is also in Biwabik, called The Little Brown Jug, right on main street.

• Where is the Off Highway Vehicle park located?

  It is in Gilbert, 12 miles from the Lodge. A combination of trails and county roads lead from the Lodge to the OHV park. However, you may want to trailer your ATVs from The Lodge to the park.

• Are there grills available?

  Yes, charcoal grills and picnic tables are available for guest use. Bring your own charcoal or purchase it at the gift shop.

• Is there a fire pit?

  Yes, we a fire pit for guest use. Firewood is provided free of charge.

• What amenities are available?

  We have a large indoor pool and hot tub, exercise room, arcade, and more. For a list of all the amenities, click here.

• What is available in the gift shop?

  In addition to souvenirs and apparel, our gift shop offers snacks, food and beverages, toiletries, books and games.

• Is secure indoor bike storage available?

  Yes, The lodge has locked bike storage just off the lobby.

• Do you rent bikes?

  Bicycles and mountain bike rentals are available at the Giants Ridge rental shop. This is located straight down the sidewalk from us about 1 block. For hours, information and reservations call 218-865-8024

• Do suites have outdoor access?

  No, our suites do not have balconies or patios. Sorry!
